Random updates

I put in my official notice at work and my last day will be Feb. 7, so sad but good! It snowed here last week, not a whole bunch but it did stick and then froze overnight and made the roads nice and icy for the morning commute. School is still going great and I took my first lab quiz and got a 19/20, I was very pleased. This is a very random post because I don't have a whole lot to talk about. My life is busy but boring because I do the same thing week after week with the exception of an appointment now and then or a evening out with friends. I did go see the movie "Juno" two weekends ago and I thought it was very cute but sad because teen pregnancy is becoming so common. Daisjurr is trying out for Baseball next month which means buying another pair of cleats and sports stuff but its for a good cause, I guess because it keeps him focused and out of trouble. David is starting to finalize things with the shop and has finished his business plan and will submit it next week to the bank. I can't wait until it is officially ours and he isn't stressing anymore, it will also be nice to have a bigger income each month, especially since we are looking to buy a house this spring. As for me I am just taking one day at a time, I tend to get wrapped up in the future and forget about the here and now.

New Phone

I got a new phone, it is a blackberry Pearl. I thought it would be very cool and it is but it is also very complicated. I haven't quite mastered working it.

Also I told my boss that I will be leaving probably by then end of the month and wow, suddenly every one in all of the other departments new and instantly seemed to care because in the last couple of days every one has been asking me "it is ture that you are leaving, you can't leave then will will be even more short staffed." Well sorry but that is not my problem! I do feel kinda bad though but mostly because I wll be leaving some friends and some Residents that I have become attached to. I just keep telling my self think about the money and not having to work all the time. Also I have to learn to ride the bus. Parking by the hospital is $10 a day because they have no employee parking and that can become pretty expensive. They give free bus passes though and David and I talked and came to the agreement that I will ride the bus downtown and then walk the 6 blocks up hill to the hospital (good exercise I guess) and then after my long day he will pick me up. This way we will save the $120 a month in parking fees. The only down side is I have to bus but I guess I will be riding with mostly business people not smelly treet people because people who work downtown mostly ride the bus due to parking.

School has started and I have been exhausted already. Tue. & Thur. are so long I wake up and leave by 6:00am and don't get home until around 8pm at night. I really like my instructor though and it should be a good quarter if all goes as planned. One thing I haven't really been doing alot of lately is going to the gym and working out. I really need to start and become more motivated.

NEW JOB!

YES, I got a job at the hospital. I am so excited and nervous at the same time. The unit I will be working on is very busy and that is something I am not used to but will hopefully love because it will make time go by fast. Also I will learn a bunch of new skills working in a fast paced hospital environment that will sure be helpful in the nursing program. It also will be nice bringing home more money and working less. I probably won't start till the end of the month so wish me luck on my new endeavour.

New Year

Happy Late New Year to everyone! My New Years eve was fun, we went to a lounge that some friends were promoting and then to a friends bar. David has been sick for a couple days and was sick on New Years eve but still managed to have fun. Today was David's birthday and I am sorry to say it was uneventful. I had arrnaged reservations at a fancy steak house called Ruth Chris but due to him not feeling well we stayed home. I made him a ice cream cake from scratch and one of his favorite dinners, meat loaf, yummy! We will have to have a steak dinner another time.
